During the procedure, a tiny plasma flash also referred to as an arc is discharged from the tip of the Fibroblast handpiece. Works by utilising the voltage in the air between its tip and the natural gasses emitted from our skin, to form a plasma charge (hence the name plasma skin tightening)

The tool itself never touches the skin, the plasma flash creates a tiny dot. There are no cuts and no blood. This innovative technology uses the sublimation process. Targeted tissue sublimate (retract), causing no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. A small electrical charge is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. Dots are applied to create a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. The skin's tissue immediately tightens giving you, youthful-looking skin.

Fibroblast Plasma Therapy is virtually painless. Numbing cream is used to minimise discomfort before and during the procedure. Side effects are minimal and complications are rare. Carbon crusts and tiny superficial dots which form directly on the skin are part of the normal healing process.

Correctly treated with aftercare cream will cause no threat and fall off 5 - 10 days after treatment. 

Aftercare instructions will be given following the procedure. It is very important to adhere to aftercare advice.

 

One treatment may be sufficient, this depends on the treated area size, the amount of loose skin and the client's expected degree of correction and tightening. 

Additional procedures may be performed after 45 days after the first treatment.

My personal skin story :-)

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

 

 

Plasma fibroblasting can be used to treat many areas, such as Eyelids (which includes the under eyes and excess upper eyelid skin), Skin imperfections, such as skin tags and sunspots, Improving the look of scars, especially acne scars, Loose skin on the abdomen caused by pregnancy, Nasolabial folds, lips, marionette lines and around the mouth area, Jowls and Neck Tightening, Excess skin on the knee caps, Hands and arms, Age spots and Cheeks, along with mini facelifts.

Some people may see benefits from one treatment, while others may require a course of 2 or more treatments for best results.

 HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?

Fibroblasting is considered more than a skin tightening treatment, while the skin volume is reduced, Results can vary depending on how well you follow aftercare and your general health. Similar to surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of fibroblasting are not entirely permanent and unfortunately, do not stop any further ageing, however, positive results do have lasting results depending on the areas treated. Results from treatment will be noticeable immediately after your first treatment, but the 85% results will be revealed after 12 weeks. The other 25% are over 2 years. 

Results can last from 18 months to 3 years.

Lifestyle plays a big part in how long the results last things such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, poor skin care and increased sun exposure (WEAR YOUR SPF!!!) will negatively impact your results.

 

SIDE EFFECTS & RISKS

 The majority of clients are likely to experience some minor side effects in the 5 to 7 days following treatment.

There will be tiny carbon crusts similar to little dots on and around the treated area that will generally last 5 - 7 days before naturally lifting and falling off, this will then reveal new pink skin underneath. (baby skin)

Swelling is common when treating the eye area and is to be expected for a few days. To avoid any serious side effects such as hyperpigmentation, it is crucial to follow the aftercare recommendations given to you.

Treatment time can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. 

Immediately after treatment, the treated area may be red and mildly swollen with small carbon crusts (dots). It is common to experience a sensation similar feeling to sunburn which will likely last a few hours. Swelling may increase over the following few hours after treatment and may continue to do so when treating the eye area and may last 2-3 days thereafter. The carbon crusts will lift and fall off within 7-10 days depending on the individual and area treated. Results gradually improve over the following 12 weeks.
